LOCKDOWN PORTRAITS

During the first UK Covid-19 lockdown starting 23 March 2020 i went and photographed my family members and friends’ parents through their windows in South West London and Oxford.

Some of them i had not seen in over twenty years (as i had been living in the USA.) It was great to reconnect and share stories through the window using a phone. Some of the braver ones talked through the crack of an open window or came out into their garden. The government instructed us to stay home and only leave in an emergency. It was a desperate time of unknowns. Everyone was trying to make sense of the pandemic and one knew what the outcome would be.
